Puppy Safety & Wellness

At the HIVE Puppy Yoga, we are dedicated to the following to the wellbeing of puppies during our puppy yoga and puppy social events. While we aim to provide all our attended with heartwarming and therapeutic experiences, our primary focus is ensuring the safety and confidence of our furry friends.

Here are some of the essential measures we implement at our public and private puppy events:

  • Water & Food

We provide water bowls for the puppies and adhere to their designated feeding routines as prescribed by their breeders or rescues.

  • Sleep time

Our event schedule includes dedicated breaks of over 30 minutes between classes, allowing puppies to rest and recharge.

  • Cleanliness

Our studios are rigorously cleaned and sanitized with antibacterial agents before, during, and after each session to ensure a pristine environment.

  • Wellness Checks

We perform frequent checks on the puppies throughout the event to ensure they are happy, relaxed, and enjoying their time.

We prioritize the safety and well-being of the puppies at our events.

Our team adheres to strict protocols and uses veterinary-grade cleaning products to maintain a healthy environment.

Where do the puppies come from

Our Puppy Yoga and social events are brought to life through strong partnerships with local breeders and rescues. These collaborations ensure that the puppies we work with come from safe, loving environments. After each event, the puppies return to their nurturing homes, where they receive ongoing care, socialization, and attention. We carefully vet each breeder and rescue to ensure they maintain high standards of animal welfare, ensuring that the puppies continue to thrive long after their time at our events..

Our screening process is meticulous and considers various aspects of a breeding program, focusing on four key areas:

  • The right age

Puppies must be at least 7 weeks old and have completed a comprehensive health examination.

  • Proper Environment

We assess the environment where puppies are raised to ensure it is clean, comfortable, and enriching.

  • Prospective Owner Evaluation

Breeders must implement a comprehensive screening process for prospective families to ensure that puppies are placed in the most suitable and enduring homes.

  • Social Breeds

We partner with breeds recognized for their sociable nature and ease in interacting with both people and other dogs.

Responsible Pet Ownership

Welcoming a dog into your life is a significant commitment that involves more than just bringing a pet home. It requires substantial time, financial investment, and lifestyle adjustments.

You’ll need to dedicate time daily for exercise, training, and bonding. Financially, be prepared for ongoing costs such as food, grooming, and veterinary care, along with potential unexpected expenses. Additionally, consider how a dog will impact your daily routine and social activities.

Carefully evaluate these factors to ensure you’re ready for the commitment and can provide a stable, loving environment for your new companion.
